A cleaning schedule is useful when it reflects your household’s actual workload. Use the free template below to assign tasks, then adjust frequency according to use, pets, allergies and the surface instructions.
A starting schedule
| Frequency | Suggested tasks |
|---|---|
| Daily or after use | Food-preparation surfaces, spills, dishes and a short clutter reset |
| Weekly starting point | Bathroom cleaning, frequently used floors, towels and bedding as needed |
| Monthly rotation | One cupboard, less accessible dusting or an appliance task permitted by its manual |
| Seasonal review | Windows where safely reachable, stored textiles and maintenance tasks due under product instructions |
This is a suggested routine, not a hygiene rule for every home. Food contamination or illness can require immediate and different cleaning.
Make tasks small enough to finish
Write “clean bathroom basin and taps” rather than “deep-clean everything”. Assign a person or agreed rotation and leave a box for completion. If a task is repeatedly missed, reduce its scope or change the timing.
Use products safely
Follow labels, ventilate as directed and never mix cleaning chemicals. Keep products in labelled containers away from children and pets. A cleaning schedule does not replace smoke-alarm checks, servicing or other maintenance instructions; record those separately with their actual due dates.
Edit labels in the fields, tick tasks on screen or print a clean copy. Pas teksten aan, vink digitaal af of print een lege versie.
